Our Fascinating pelgrimage to Shikoku - Japan

| In november 2008 under the guidance of Rients Ritskes, as part of a group of 'ohenro' in the footsteps of the great Zen master Kukai (postuum Kobo Daishi, 774- 835), we visited 33 of the 88 temples on the island Shikoku in Japan.
We took the opportunity to also spend some time in the pottery villages Bizen (stoneware) and Tobe (porcelain) and of course the Raku museum in Kyoto (picture). To share some of our delight, you may want to look at some of the pictures we made. Enjoy! |
